Toasty's pedigree is outstanding. His sire is the leading steeplechase sire in the US., Northern Baby. Northern Baby's get have earned over fourteen and a half million dollars. These include Champion Steeplechasers: Warm Spell, winner of the Breeders Cup Grand National; and Highland Bud, winner of the Breeders Cup Steeplechase. His dam, Good Thinking, combines the bloodlines of Bold Ruler through the Preakness winner, Raja Baba and leading European sire, Ribot. Good Thinking is a winner in Ireland and is the dam of Thinking Twice, a Steeplechase winner in both Ireland and England. Many of Toasty's bloodlines were represented in the U.S. Equestrian Team's short list of 1996 Olympic Three Day Event prospects.

     Toasty came to Seven Mile Ranch in the fall of 1994. He has been raced on a very limited basis, but his owners had not pursued any riding or breeding program. Our interest is in producing Paint Sport horses, so most of our ranch breedings have been to Paint mares. Toasty should be an excellent cross to either Warm-blood or Thoroughbred mares. His three wonderful gaits coupled with his strong steeplechase background make him an excellent sport horse sire. His first foals were born in the spring of 1996 and they show his wonderful movement and bold nature. Many are beginning successful eventing and dressage careers, Toasty is standing at Seven Mile Ranch. Shipped semen is available.
